Restoration Amount This is the amount you need to pay to satisfy the surcharge suspension on your license. In addition, you will need to pay a Restore Fee of $100.00 to the Motor Vehicle Commission. Please call 1-609-292-7500 for additional information. Installment Payment Plan The minimum payment represents the amount you must pay to enter into a payment plan with the State of New Jersey. If your total due is less than a $1,000.00, paying the installment payment amount will automatically place you in a six-month plan. As long as you keep your plan current, you will prevent license suspension due to your surcharges and avoid going to judgment. If your total due is more than a $1,000.00, paying the installment payment amount will automatically place you in a 12-month plan. As long as you keep your plan current, you will prevent license suspension due to your surcharges and avoid going to judgment. When you enroll in a plan, you will be mailed an enrollment notice which will provide details on your monthly payments and when they are due. In addition, you will receive a monthly reminder notice for your next payment. Once in a plan, you are solely responsible for making your monthly payments even if you fail to receive these reminder notices. Pay Other Amount Normally, you can input any payment amount of $17.00 or more to make a payment on your surcharge account.
